Urban Impact: Non-profit Documentary Film

Rev. Dr. Ed Glover and his wife Tammy have been pastoring on the North Side of Pittsburgh for almost 30 years. Pastor Glover founded Urban Impact Foundation in 1995 to help address the profound and unique challenges facing today’s urban communities, which he witnessed first-hand every day for over nine years as a resident of Pittsburgh’s North Side and pastor at Allegheny Center Alliance Church. During this time, Rev. Glover recognized that the trials of children and families in urban communities could only be effectively addressed through holistic development of the mind, body, and spirit through Christ– one person, one family, one block at a time. Thus, Urban Impact was born! In 2017 we were asked to create a documentary film about Urban Impact. Our goal was to reflect the heart and soul of Urban Impact mission and revealing the incredible spirit of people behind this one of a kind undertaking by sharing a few of their stories and presenting their daily activities.
